Reiki Training

The healing method of Reiki is passed on from teacher to student by a process of training and attunement. Originally in Japan this probably happened through an apprenticeship system but as the system evolved and spread outside Japan via a Japanese American Hawayo Takata the training occurred via seminars or Reiki days which include the attunement ceremony. Three levels have evolved. Reiki 1 teaches you to heal yourself and others via physical presence. Reiki 2 to send healing over distances and use the symbols. Reiki 3 - the Master Level - to teach and attune other people.

I am currently offering Reiki 1, 11 and Master Level attunements for people who want to become a Reiki healer and possible teacher themselves. By a process of Reiki attunement the ability to heal can be transmitted from one person to another. A Reiki Master should be able to show you their Reiki Lineage going back to Usui. (click below to see mine) I can offer one-to-one attunements on a day to suit you and small group attunements.Contact me and we can set up a Reiki Day.

Before the Reiki Day everyone is sent preparatory work.The Reiki day consists of personal introductions, study of the principles relating to the Reiki stage, attunement into the Reiki energy, and practise of the necessary techniques of Reiki Healing. Included in the day are personal meditation techniques used by Usui to improve performance of Reiki. Everybody attuned on the day receives a certificate (which is the requirement for insurance) and a folder containing the information relevant to the Reiki stage.

These attunement days are designed for people leading busy and committed lives. Traditionally Reiki was taught using an apprentice system over many years. Nowadays people struggle to free up even one weekend.
